“I love the [Movement for Life] class; it has made a huge difference in my physical health and well-being. More than anything though, I love your irrepressible spirit. How you manage to communicate so much love and laughter over the internet is a mystery. A good mystery that is, for which I am forever grateful.”

Check out this out! I was interviewed on SubKit about my Movement for Life story and my experience of becoming an entrepreneur.

Hedy Alicia Iankelevich

I am a movement educator and mother. My mission is to create and share accessible and practical movement classes for the Older Adult Community.

Over the past decade, I have studied with experts in the fields of anatomy, yoga, somatics, biomechanics, breath-work and the nervous system.

My unique approach originated from working with my very own father which led to the creation of Movement for Life, a program thoughtfully and creatively designed for Older Adults. In these classes you learn to improve quality of life through mind-body connection, physical conditioning, mobility exercises, and confidence building techniques.

These classes empower students with the tools they need to sustain their physical and mental health. I know that there’s no age-limit for positive change and self-improvement.

I currently teach online classes, workshops and private sessions. I have led domestic and international retreats, combining my love of travel, nature, movement and people. I have also hosted online community storytelling evenings where all storytellers were 65 years old and beyond!

Currently, I am planning Spring walks in NYC and a new project called Tales of our Lives where stories from the community will be told and shared with all of you.

When I’m not teaching, I spend my time with my young son, River, and beloved, Garreth. I love taking long city walks, playing in the woods upstate, and coming up with new and exciting ways of making beneficial movement practices available to bodies of all ages, sizes and abilities.

I love the [Movement for Life] class; it has made a huge difference in my physical health and well-being. More than anything though, I love your irrepressible spirit. How you manage to communicate so much love and laughter over the internet is a mystery. A good mystery that is, for which I am forever grateful.
